Lost in Frenchlation brings the best of French cinema to the international community in Paris by screening French films with English subtitles!

On Monday, May 19th at 8.00PM, (re)discover Mathieu Kassovitz's famous LA HAINE in its original version (French) with English subtitles.

We will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film, which had been screened in Cannes during the 48th Festival and won the Best Director Award, as well as 3 César (Best Film, Best Producer, Best Editing).

We will be delighted to welcome you from 7PM at the Cinéma du Panthéon tea salon for a drink together. You can also purchase some snacks* (see below) when booking your ticket online!

SUMMARY

The kids from the “Bluebell” projects have spent all night warring with the police. Why ? Because a 16 year old boy, Abdel Ichaha, is near death after being beaten up during police questioning. Among these kids blinded by hate are three homeboys: Hubert, Saïd and Vinz. Together they’re about to live the most important day of their lives.

SYNOPSIS

Abdel Ichah, seize ans est entre la vie et la mort, passé à tabac par un inspecteur de police lors d'un interrogatoire. Une émeute oppose les jeunes d'une cité HLM aux forces de l'ordre. Pour trois d'entre eux, ces heures vont marquer un tournant dans leur vie...
