SYNOPSIS : Alex lives under the Pont-Neuf bridge alongside his friend Hans, who regularly supplies him with the sleeping pills he has grown accustomed to taking. One night, while wandering along Boulevard de Sébastopol, he is hit by a car. Michèle, a young woman, witnesses the accident. When she is discharged from Nanterre hospital, she goes to find him under the Pont-Neuf. She is running away from her first love, Julien. While Alex is more than willing to welcome her, Hans wants to drive her away. Michèle, who is gradually losing her sight, soon falls in love with Alex. Together, they roam the streets of Paris, taking part in the celebrations marking the bicentenary of the French Revolution and surviving on petty theft. A tale of passionate, all-consuming love, filmed against a backdrop of grandiose sets. The Pont-Neuf bridge had to be recreated near Montpellier.

SYNOPSIS : Alex vit sous le Pont-Neuf aux côtés de son ami Hans, qui lui fournit régulièrement les somnifères auxquels il est accoutumé. Une nuit, alors qu’il erre sur le boulevard Sébastopol, une voiture le renverse. Michèle, une jeune femme, est témoin de la scène. À sa sortie de l’hôpital de Nanterre, elle vient le retrouver sous le Pont-Neuf. Elle fuit son premier amour, Julien. Si Alex est tout prêt à l’accueillir, Hans veut la chasser. Michèle, qui devient aveugle, tombe bientôt amoureuse d’Alex. Ensemble, ils s’amusent dans Paris, assistant notamment aux célébrations du bicentenaire de la Révolution française et vivant de petits larcins. Une histoire d’amour fou tournée dans des décors grandioses. Le Pont-Neuf a dû être recréé près de Montpellier.
